This collaboration has been in the pipeline for ages and it is something I have been looking forward to the most since the beginning of my semester break.
Isobel and
Marian, from the
Original Minds, suggested we should together come up with makeup looks that go with our complexions as we all fall in different skin tone categories, and that sounded like a great idea. You can see complete details of our looks on their blog by clicking
here. Don't we look bomb? ;)
Here is a sneak peek of Isobel's and Marian's looks and then you can find mine.

Isobel from Original Minds |
Isobel loves going au naturel and if you have a similar skin tone, you should check out the complete details of her makeup look in her blog post linked above. She looks so pretty and you can rock this look everyday this summer.

Marian from Original Minds |
Marian is such a stunner and she encourages you to use more colour if you have a similar skin tone because you CAN and to be honest I totally agree. If you are wondering what else she has in her bag of hacks, find out the details in her blog post linked above.

Now it's yours truly's turn! I have a medium, typical South Asian complexion, and for this look my main focus was to enhance the skin rather than loading on too much colour. So, I went with something subtle yet glowy to feel summer appropriate. I did somewhat incorporate the strobing technique but still managed to keep a light hand on the highlighter and skipped blusher and contouring for bronzing. For my eyes, I went with a single shadow, softly lined the outer half of my upper lids and just did one coat of mascara, enough to make my naturally droopy eyes seem awake while still maintaining their dreaminess. To tie the look, I used mauve pink on my lips for the "my lips but better" effect and just topped it off with a brown lipgloss to go with the glow.
