I Won A Liebster! ✯

Hi guys,

Hope you're all doing well. This is my last post before my semester finals which will start next Saturday and will continue till mid June! :x

I was recently tagged by this sweet lady called Shehrzad from Desi Mom From Pakistan awarding me this Liebster Blog Award.

A Liebster Award is basically awarded to upcoming bloggers who have less than 200 followers.  Liebster is a German word meaning 'favourite'.

The rules are as follows:

1) Share 11 things about you.
2) Answer 11 questions by the tagger.
3) Choose 11 fellow bloggers to nominate. They should have under 200 followers on Google Friends Connect.
4) Ask them 11 questions.
5) Thank the Person who nominated you and mention a link back to her blog.

So here we go,

I already did a post earlier this year, that was; A to Z of Jadirah Sarmad. You can check that here. I don't really have any facts other than them to share and those are more than 11. ;)

11 Questions Asked By Shehrzad are as follows:

1)-When did you start blogging and why?
I started blogging last August mainly because I love to write, but later I discovered that I can actually give voice to my thoughts here and can share stuff  which I can't ramble about at home as I don't have a sister. </3

2)-Are you married? Kids?
No. None.

3)-What is your qualification?
I completed my A'levels last year and currently doing Bio-Medical Engineering (the major that I had always aimed for and the reason I took Computer Studies with Biology in O'levels along with Add.Maths and then took both Math and Biology in A'levels even though I hate maths).

4)-What are you wearing on your face and lips now?
A stressed out look, if that counts. Apart from that nothing at all.

5)-How many post do you do per week and how do you manage it?
I was consistent with 3-4 posts per week before my university started but now I hardly get time to do even a single post per week. Sad but I have got priorities. :(
I'll be in full swing in vacations though. B-)

6)-How do you unwind and relax?
Sleeping helps A LOT. Astrologers say that for a Gemini, it is very very important to get as much sleep as we possibly can! Apart from that music and some chilled drink when I need a break and have no time for a nap. And when I do have time, spa! ;)

7)-Whats the most expensive item in your makeup stash?
Hmm, now I'm not really good with price tags but probably my foundation, i.e., Karaja Stop Shine Foundation.

8)-Do you keep a fixed sum for makeup shopping every month or do you shop first and save later?
I save first and then shop. B-) I strictly avoid impulse purchases.

9)-Name your favourite brands, which have always delivered promises or have worked for you?
Still new to makeup so I can't really name any makeup brands but I do love Rimmel. As for beauty/body care products and hair I go for Neutrogena, Nivea, Freeman, Dove, Palmer's Schwarzkopf & Henkel, Pantene and the list goes on. Love Stoneage and Levis for jeans!

10)-What is one habit of your followers/fans/Facebook friends that you find annoying?
I have got beautiful people all around me and each one of them matters to me so nothing serious. I just feel a bit taken aback when people comment on my post just for the sake of commenting rather than actually going through the post and it is very obvious when they do so.

11)-Who plays the role of greatest support or anchor in your life?
Undoubtedly my parents. They have always been extremely encouraging, understanding and of course caring. They are my strength.

11 People Whom I'd Like To Tag:

  7. Louise and Rachel from Louchelle
  8. Naimal from PeachyPout
I couldn't find more people to tag, so lets save this space for the bloggers falling under this category when I find them in future. :)

11 Questions For Them:

  1. What is that one beauty product that you can't live without?
  2. What is your favourite food?
  3. Do you play any musical instruments?
  4. Are you into reading? If so, who is your favourite author and what is your favourite book?
  5. What is your biggest pet peeve?
  6. If you're given 10,000 PKR (approx. 101$) what would you purchase?
  7. What is your favourite place for vacations?
  8. What is your favourite blog post by you? Link. ;)
  9. What is that one thing without which this world could have been a much better place for you?
  10. What is that one makeup product that you would highly recommend to beginners?

I'll be away for a while now. Take care my lovely butterflies! :)

Summer Hauling: Whats & Whys? ;)

Hello Butterflies! :)

It took me so long to post my previous collective haul that this week I had another run to the super store. Even in my collective hauls that I posted past two weeks, I had kept on squeezing in stuff till the very end. Anyhow, here's more of hauling and since this post isn't photo heavy unlike the previous ones, I decided to briefly add why I bought what I bought. Also note that I didn't get any makeup items as I'll go on a proper summer-makeup-shopping-spree after my finals though I had to get a makeup remover but I forgot. -_-

Before we proceed, I'd like to inform you all that this is my second last post before my final disappearance until summer vacations as my semester is about to end and then we have our finals! >_<  So, see you on the other end and hopefully I'll be blogging more often then. :)

Lets roll,

Beauty and Hair Haul
Nike Woman Basic Yellow (210 PKR)/Fa Shower Gel Hibiscus & Cranberry (165 PKR)/Freeman Facial Hydration Mask Goji Berry and Anti-Stress Mask Dead Sea Minerals (290 PKR Each)/Pantene Anti-Hairfall Shampoo (148 PKR Each) & Conditioner (156 PKR)/Suave Kids 2-in-1 Shampoo Wild Watermelon (245 PKR)

Nike Woman Basic Yellow: I bought this because summer's here and we need more deodorant now in this scorching hot weather here in Karachi. It isn't what I'd describe as feminine as for me feminine is sweet, floral,  light. Whereas this is musky, even though according to the ingredients mentioned on the bottle it is supposed to be citrus which is what I couldn't smell at all in this. However, I think most people would like it.

Fa Hibiscus & Cranberry Shower Gel: Another luxury item for this time of year. The flavour, I know is more of a fall/winter themed one but when I took a whiff at store, I fell in love with the burst of cranberry scent that I got so just couldn't resist buying this particular flavour.

Freeman Facial Hydration Mask with Goji Berry and Anti-Stress Mask with Dead Sea Minerals: I had been eyeing Freeman masks for some time now and got the Goji Berry one as I have dry/combination skin, and even though it's really in control at the moment, most of the year it's dry so this would work on my dry-skin-days while I bought the Dead Sea Minerals one because these are so beneficial for skin and this one is supposed to be for all skin types so it probably won't be drying my skin out plus it is a blue coloured mask!!! :D

Pantene Anti-Hairfall Shampoo & Condtioner: Hairfall seems to be such a common problem these days. I have tried the Dove anti-hairfall range twice and I'm almost through with my Loreal Elvive Arginine Resist x3 but I must say that neither of them can beat Pantene. While Dove makes my hair soft and smooth, it also greatly weighs it down and has totally failed me when it comes to controlling hairfall. Whereas, Loreal has noticeably reduced my hairfall but it doesn't make my hair feel as good as it claims to. On the other hand, I have used Pantene a lot through my teenage and it is one shampoo that I'd always keep on going back to. Even though I haven't gone through a whole bottle of Pantene anti-hairfall in particular, ever, but I had been borrowing it from my mom on occasions and the results are pretty noticeable even after a single wash. I haven't tried any of Pantene's conditioners before but I have high hopes as Pantene is a brand that suits my hair really well and works perfectly for me! ♥

Suave Kids 2-in-1 Shampoo Wild Watermelon: Now you might be laughing to see a baby shampoo in my haul but guess what baby shampoos are the best for everyday hair wash as they are mild! Suave isn't my favourite brand when it comes to normal shampoos but along with Johnson's baby shampoos this is the one that I am a fan of. I have previously used up two bottles of this in flavours; Orange Mango Outburst and Coconut Cowabunga. Loved them. It is available in a lot of fun flavours. Highly recommended if you are looking for something mild to rinse your hair with everyday this sweatin' summer!

Coming to food haul, you can now probably tell that I am a chocoholic!! :P My favourite chocolates are KitKat, Mars and Twix (missing here!).

mars milo cold coffee kitkat pringles

Moving on, check out these NEON jelly flats mom bought me the other day! These are something that most people would hate as the colours are too loud (mind you those bows are more neon than they look here) but the ones who'd love it would probably love it to death. As for me, well, I don't mind wearing funky stuff and the Lady Gaga in me adores them! :P I know these are hard to match with usual outfits but I have already been wearing them around the house and I find them super cute for summer. ;)

Collective Haul: Beauty & Food

Hi guys,
I know I was supposed to be back weeks ago but some unplanned events followed so had to delay my return to the blog world. Sorry! >_<

As you might have read earlier, I had been planning a collective haul but never came around to putting it up on blog due to my absence. However, here it is now and I'll be doing it in parts as I have bought a lot since then and have added here whatever I have bought till date. If I write down each and every description, it'll get too long so I'll just be mentioning the prices and where I bought it from, most of these are from local supermarkets and malls, along with the pictures. Don't worry, you'll get more details if I review them later. :)

Back From Exams & Onto Bloglovin' :)

Hi butterflies! :)

I'm through with my mids and now back to blogging! ;)
I really hope I score minimum 80% and if it has to get really bad than 70% but nothing less than that! It's so difficult to score in a 10 marks midterm exam, -_- , but atleast now I know how exams go about in university.

Anyways, I feel as if I have been away for too long because on returning what I'm discovering is this disheveled blog world (well sort of!). Firstly, I need to get all my future blog posts sorted out and organised and secondly no more google reader so no more GFC (probably)?! I'm sure by now you all are aware that google is getting rid of google reader in coming July as it isn't very popular, so people are guessing GFC won't be functional without it either, but you never know. Google probably would come up with some alternative. However, since there is no surety as to what exactly will happen, bloggers have started to sign up to Bloglovin' and other such platforms to keep track of their favourite blogs and to give their own followers a GFC replacement.

Many bloggers had had Bloglovin' and other such accounts way before this issue emerged, probably because they wanted to give their blog more exposure. I had thought of it back then but I didn't want to juggle between accounts. Anyhow, with the current situation, it's better to be safe than sorry, so here's my Bloglovin's link. Follow me butterflies on Bloglovin now and leave me your own links so that we can stay in touch! Note that Bloglovin also allows you to import all your google reader blogs in one go!

Follow JCB on Bloglovin' http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/5111455/jasmine-catches-butterflies

Moving on, look what I found on facebook this weekend! :D

That surely would be my child! :P

This is absolutely spot on!

Ok, now getting back to serious, I'm not sure if I should share this or not as this is a bit personal but every prayer might make a difference. This past Wednesday my aunt had a brain hemorrhage and well the doctor has made it clear that there is no hope. However, I'm not losing hope yet because he is a human after all and his verdict might not be 100% true, it all still is upto God, and I pray that she recovers soon. I'd be really grateful if you all could just pray for her.

Thank you for reading! Happy Sunday! Have a great week ahead! xo
